Breaking Chains is a charity which supports ex-offenders and their families to overcome obstacles in the way of employment, to become self employed, or to set up their own businesses, social enterprises and co-operatives.

We work in partnership with employers, voluntary organisations, charities, social enterprises and colleges.

Whatever the issues which brought our members into ‘conflict with the law, Breaking Chains encourages its members to channel their talents and skills into lawful work which is of benefit to the community and offers an alternative to "no hope, dead end and low paid employment".

Breaking Chains also provide practical training and courses to ex-offenders and their families, and  the Charity is governed by its members, most of whom have experienced conflict with the law.
